Great hotel with an excellent location and very good facilities. The hotel is located within walking distance from the Mall and offers a great view from the deck. We stayed at the king room which has a wonderful view and is very cozy. The hotel staff is courteous and helpful. It is close to the Tibetan museum and all the iconic restaurants are nearby. I want to thanks Mr. Arnndam Sen for his support during our memorable family vacation in Darjeeling.

I returned to Darjeeling after becoming a senior citizen, so a bit of attention had to be paid on certain health issues this time. Comfort, hygiene and a peaceful ambience were therefore our prime demands in presently overpopulated and "not -like -in -older -times" Darjeeling! Hotel Viceroy was certainly a wise choice during our three night visit in April this year! I personally felt very much at home, with the decor, the ambience, the cleanliness, and most of all, the cordial behaviour of the Staff in this Hotel! Our rooms were properly furnished, quite tastefully and soberly done, and I must mention that the room heater was a great relief for my aching knee joints after a hectic day outside! We had a beautiful view of the hillside from our rooms, the clock tower in front reminding us of the glorious days of Capitol cinema, though the weather not quite favourable for a clear view of Kanchenjunga! The washrooms were quite well-equipped, with hot water readily available. In fact, the housekeeping of the Hotel needs to be appreciated! Now I come to the most important factor which made our visit even more pleasant in this Hotel: the dining room! The restaurant is simply superb, with very efficient supervision by Mr. Arindam Sen, the catering and dining in-charge! Mr. Sen is a real asset to Hotel Viceroy! From the very beginning, he made us feel very much at home, reaching out to us in his friendly manner and paying attention to each and everyone's demands! We felt just as if we had known each other since a long time. Under Mr. Sen's hospitality, we regaled on the wide-spread menu at breakfast each morning! Nothing could have been better to begin a day in Darjeeling! I really can't complain about the lack of any parking space in the hotel premises, considering the congestion, heavy traffic and dearth of extra space within the town of Darjeeling! The elevator is accessible from the first floor onwards. Otherwise, everything was quite commendable! If you ask me regarding my choice of a hotel in proper Darjeeling town, close to all important landmarks of the Queen of hills, I shall definitely return to Hotel Viceroy for a safe, homely stay there!

We had a very enjoyable stay this hotel and stayed at the premium attic room which offers a fantastic view of the Kanchenjunga mountain range on a clear day. There are great options to choose from during breakfast. The hotel staff, from the bell boys to the reception staff, were quite polite and very efficient. A special shout out to Mr Arindam Sen who has great hospitality management skills as he truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The mall road is about a 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The best thing during our stay was the food. We enjoyed their buffets. The staff was good and cooperative. The assisted us and we had a warm welcome in the hotel. Special thanks to the food manager for dealing in such a good manner and telling us about everything.

Excellent location , superb hospitality of Mr Arindam Sen , you will feel that you are at your own home . All staffs behaviour also good . Spacious room , neat and clean . Clear view of mighty kanchanjungha from room . Must stay there if you are planning to go there .
